Kouign Aman by Ti Forn

To me every little breton experiences 2 culinary oh oh moments to fully embrace the local gastronomy: the kouign aman and the seafood (for me langoustines and spidercrab with mayonnaise). While I’ve always been a huge fan of the latter, it took me some time to really appreciate the iconic dessert made of butter, butter and.. oh yes butter.

kouign 2Yes the Kouign Aman is what we can call a massive treat, usually you feel full and delighted (or saturated!). Also when I discoved the Ti Forn Boulangerie/Bakery with its small Kouign Aman creations, not only was I curious but also very tempted as for once the Kouign Aman didn’t seem so threatenning to me (well and needless to say that the chocolate variation had me hooked, as everything with chocolate is good by definition..)

Not only the portions are good but the taste is amazing and I truly admire these artisans who take time to continuously promote these tradionnal treats with innovative twists.

You can find the Kouign Aman original taste, then apple, chocolate, cherry, pistaccio ect ! I think I almost tried everything else in this bakery so feel free to ask any questions, I can’t wait for their next creations!
