Lostmarc’h, the breton beauty reference

I always wanted to have a perfume that can have the same power as the “Madeleine de Proust” (a simple smell/taste that can trigger vivid memories of a time and place I cherish), and to me it must bring me back to the seaside.

After some strange experiments in my youth, I found my precious in 2007 thanks to a French magazine: Aod Perfume from Lostmarc’h. Aod in Breton means seaside/coast and indeed to me this is THE perfume which represents the freshness and wilderness of the Brittany coast.

I have been using it religiously since then and as the years go by I actually made my own perfume recipe; I now combine it with… wait for it… Monoi perfume from Yves Rocher which adds the Holiday touch (or so I hope, no one has made a funny comment yet, and yes Yves Rocher is also a Breton company).

You can order it online, and I wish there were more stores (the only one I visit now is in Pont L’abbe), but I understand the cost of such structures. Hopefully more and more people will discover this powerful brand and I wish Lostmarc’h all the best in its quest to create many new scents which will blow our minds (and nostrils 🙂 )
